How A Video Inspection And Hydro-Jetting Can Solve Your Drain Pipe Clogs

Blog

If your toilets are not flushing and if you have water backing up into your tubs and sinks, there is a good chance you may have a clog in your main sewer line. No matter what steps you take to prevent this from happening, you are still at risk for clogs developing in this line. If this happens, you should hire a septic company to perform a video inspection of your line and hydro-jetting services to clean it out.

What is a video inspection?

Many plumbers and septic system companies now offer video inspection services for drain pipes. With a video inspection, these companies are able to get a good view of your drain pipes, and the purpose is to find out where the problem is. Without this type of inspection, a septic worker often has to use guesswork to locate the clog. Getting a video inspection is the best way to find out where the problem is and what the problem is.

What is hydro-jetting?

When there is a clog in the main sewer line, you will not be able to use any plumbing fixtures in your home. This clog will prevent all the waste water from getting into the septic system, and the water must go somewhere. Because of this, the water will end up inside your plumbing fixtures and possibly on the floors of your home, simply because it has nowhere else to go.

When a septic company comes to your home and locates the clog, they will have to remove the clog in order to fix the problem, and using hydro-jetting is one way they do this.

Hydro-jetting involves spraying water into the pipes to clean the pipes out. A hydro-jetting system uses water that has so much pressure that it can cut right through a clog. The pressure is almost equivalent to what a sharp knife could accomplish.

When this is done, it will not only force the clog out of place and flush it down the line, but it will also remove any debris that might be trapped in the pipes. Debris will naturally collect in drain pipes, but it typically takes time for it to build up enough to stop a drain from functioning. If you have the debris removed, the pipes will be cleaner and less likely to form clogs in the future.

If you are struggling with a sewer pipe clog, contact a company that offers video inspections and hydro-jetting services. They can locate and fix the problem, and they can help you prevent clogs from forming in the future. Check with a company like All County Rooter for more information.

Learning About Septic System Care and Usage

Hi there, I am Wes Nelson. When I lived in my first home, I discovered the plumbing connected directly to a septic system on the land. The septic system consisted of a tank, lines and leach field that processed the waste. I had to quickly learn how the septic system worked to keep it in good shape. I had to pay close attention to the substances I sent down the drains or flushed down the toilet. I did not want to disrupt the colonies of bacteria hard at work processing the waste products. On this site, I would like to help others keep their septic system in good working order by sharing the information I discovered. Please visit again soon.
